McLaren introduces a lot of interesting cars at Geneva again this year. One of the latest P1's and the limited 675 LT Spider are on display, and now the 570 GT has been added to McLaren's list for Geneva. Let's find out what this car has to offer.
Everything is being targeted at daily usage in the GT. McLaren already had the sporty model with the 570S, so it's quite a logical step that the character of the GT is focused more on comfort. According to McLaren it's the most refined car in terms of comfort hey have ever produced, yet still it's a true McLaren. It will certainly not feel like an S-class, you will still get the sense you're in a sportscar. The 570 GT is the third model in the Sport Series-range and for sure it won't be the last. Standard equipment on the GT is the glass panoramic sunroof that lets a lot more light into the cabin and there is a lot more leather being used in the interior of the GT than in other 570's to give you a more luxury feeling. Other important details that add to the luxury and comfort are electrically operated seats, park distance control, more soundproofing to improve quietness and a quieter exhaust so you don't wake up the neighbors when you have to go to the office early in the morning. Another handy feature on the GT is the 220 liters of extra luggage space that can be reached via the glass panel behind the cabin, seems like a nice place to put your suitcase. As we've said, all changes that have been made to the GT are focused on comfort. This means that the dampening has been softened with 10% in the front and 15% in the back. The power output is the same as in the 570S, so the 570 GT can perfectly keep up with it's more sporty sibling. 100 km/h is reached in 3,4 seconds and the topspeed lies well above the 300 km/h-mark.
