BN = Kenteken voor auto's die niet tot het Nederlandse wagenpark behoren. Dit kenteken wordt vaak gebruikt voor buitenlands personeel zonder diplomatieke status van ambassades, consulaten of internationale organisaties. Vaak wordt aangenomen dat deze beginletters staan voor Buitenlander in Nederland of Geen Nederlander. Officieel hebben deze beginletters geen speciale betekenis. De letters worden alleen gevolgd door vier cijfers.
